stalls at stop when hot

I know I have seen this topic before but can not remember the answer! I have a 1972 1.7, after I drive it on the freeway and I come to a stop it stalls and is hard to get started again. I have to keep a foot on the gas and the brake when I am at a light just to keep the engine going other wise it just idles down to nothing and is gone. thanks

this may be a dumb question but have either of you done the fuel pump relocate on your cars? This may only help with the hard start, but some of the early cars exhibit vapor lock issues, the relocation of the pump to the later location - under the fuel tank helps the issue.
