Fuel pump electrical problem

I have just installed a new Holley pump
on my 71 that is to have Webers.The problem
is when I turn the key on the pump does not work.I pulled the cap off the relay and pushed down on the contacts and I have power.
It seems the wiring is ok put where could my problem be when I turn the ignition on.
I will appreciate any help.

How is the pump wired? There is no "stock" wiring for the carb pump, so you'll have to trace the wires out.

If you are still using the stock FP relay, the ground for the pump relay is the via the T4 connector pin III. Originally, the ground went through the FI brain.

Uhh, other way Jim. The pump was grounded all the time, the ECU triggered the pump relay to provide the power.

Best off to keep it simple and wire it up to a switched power source and good ground to the chasis. where did you put your pump? My loud as heck Facet is 6 hose inches from the tank. under my new aluminum splash pan.

My pump is mounted in the front trunk.
I have rubber isolators between pump
and metal therefore noise is minimum.
I think I will rewire it to a switched
connection at the fuse block.This seems
to be an easier way. I also mounted a cutoff
switch near the pump.Thanks
