914 Rear discs and calipers
now hear me out... this may be blasphemy to many on this forum but im having a hrd time locating a set of 4 lug discs and calipers in good , rebuildable condition. sure i could get knew but the core charges kill. anyone have a set laying around ... or on a parts car? the car i need these for well... isnt a 914... more like a 311 .... VW 311.... okay a 69 Fastback. the rear calipers to a 914 match the front on my fasty and also carry with them the parking brake feature which suck on many aftermarket setups... Im doing plenty of fab work on this car so im prepared for making the mount... anyone wanna help a brother in aircooled technology out???

What are you trying to do? you put rear calipers and the ebrake on the front?

no im going to put them in the rear becuase most kits for type1-3 IRS have crappy golf rear calipers that dont fit the look. im going with 914 calipers to give it a "left the factory with these" look. the stock type 3 rear drums suck too... and the fronts are factory discs... which i may "upgrade" the front spindles to the late spindles which will accept the 914 front caliper too

Do you ever come over the hill?
I have a set of rear discs but not the calipers. They have a nice rust patina but are pretty much new under that. I would guess 70K miles but rear discs get almost no wear. I am having a SWAP MEET on the 28th of March in Sacramento, you can pick them up there... |

i dont come down into sac often.. but im sure i can make an exception... must convince the wife its worth it!! any ideas on what to bribe the wife with while down there?
