1.8 heads
I just bought a pair of 1.8 heads, but they are missing the oil breather tubes that were on a pair of 1.7 heads that I am replacing with the 1.8 heads. Is this normal for 1.8's,if so where do you run the oil breather hoses? the part # on the heads are 021.101.371s,can anybody identify what type of engine these type of heads were used on? thanks, Jim

As far as I'm aware, the 1.8L heads dont have the breather ports. I think that in order for the fuel injection to work correctly, the crankcase must be under vacuum.

021 101 371H or 021 101 371S are the same. 1974 - 1975 1800 cc engine. 41mm Intake / 34mm Exhaust valves. One EGR hole on one, Two EGR holes on the other. Used on carburetored engines.
If you are replacing 1.7 heads, you can tap the rocker boxes for breather vents ... use a 3/8" hose barb. The vent bosses should be cast into the heads. Plug the EGR holes.
