My 2.0L Engine build pics

Just thought I'd share some pics of my engine that was built last week. I was in a rush to get to a local event and didn't have a lot of time. It ended up getting finished the night before and I drove it until midnight to break it in. Ran great at the event and I've been driving it to work the past couple days as well.

Motor is a basically stock 2.0L fuel injected motor. Limited by class rules on the do's and don'ts. I did upgrade the valve springs this time to FAt performance type 1 along with their rocker shaft aluminum spacers instead of springs.
Also added a deeper oil pick-up because of my rod bearing failure that was track induced.

This was completed in 10 days!
first was getting the old out and torn down.

Then everything had to be cleaned up. Sent out the heads, rods, and crank to be refurbished. Sent out engine tin for powdercoat, exhaust manifolds for ceramic coat. Walnut shell blasted my p's and c's, sandblasted lots of other goodies to clean 'em up. Oil cooler lines got flushed and oil coolers were ultrasonic cleaned.

Thanks! put a lot of hard work and time into her in those 10 days. I did solve the oil pick-up problem at the track so far with the deeper pick-up. Also, the car ran much smoother at higher RPM's due to the stiffer valve springs and rocker shaft spacers. Definitely a reduction in valve float I was getting around 5200 before.
