Wayne's first Porsche, back on the road!
Full story to come soon. After almost 11 years, the 914-6 reigns again! The engine blew up (pulled head studs), and became the donor engine for the 911 Engine Rebuild Book. I bought all of the parts to create a 2.7 RS spec motor from a 2.0 AL case. Then I changed my mind, and bought a 3.0 Euro Carrera case to use to build an short stroke engine that would bolt to a 914-6 flywheel straight up. Then, I changed my mind again (after driving Dave Shepard's 914-6 conversion), and I bought a 3.2 from a 60K mile car about 3-4 years ago. But with Pelican growing at 25-35% per year, the Boxster book, and the 959, I didn't have any time to put this back together. So, I gave it to Tom Woodford to do his magic too. The car needs a complete paint job now, but mechanically, it's all there. I'm planning on giving it a white/yellow/black pain job similar to the taka-Q 956, but with Pelican Parts.

One suggestion, rather than the louvered panel behind the window, get a spare grill, like where the PORSCHE letters are and make the whole thing mesh. I have seen one or two like this, and it looks good and is probably allows more air flow.
