914 for sale in my Seattle neighborhood
Hey guys I mainly stick to the 911 side but this car has been sitting outside a house in someone's driveway with a for sale sign since I bought my house in this Seattle neigborhood in May '02. If anyone has interest the phone number on the sign is 206-729-1118. The car looks pretty decent and even has current license tabs although it never seems to move. A quick peak through the window revealed only 1 bucket for catching rainwater. The interior seems to be all there and in nice shape.

Hmm... I'm tempted to just move this completely over to the For Sale forum...
But it does give some decent pictures of what a Chalon kit looks like. --DD

I used to see that car drive around on Mercer Island by a young woman. Maybe I'll call if I have time

It's been in the Green Lake/North Seattle C.C. area since at least May '02. Someone used to drive it out to a busier street nearby with the 4 sale sign but for at least the last year or so it just sits in the driveway on a dead-end street.

Thanks, don't really want a Chalon, but if it had been somewhere south I'd have taken a look just for fun.

Back from the dead. lol, i just googled 914 chalon and found this.... I bought this car on ebay back then for 6k. I flew to Seattle, it had 142k miles on it. I put new tires on and drove it back to Phoenix. No problems. Drove it for another year, replaced the clutch. Then took the whole thing apart when I traded the speedster for Mike Zois blown Dakota. Its still taken apart waiting for me get better at welding. Hell hole was and firewall was with fiberglass a long time ago... You couldnt tell by looking... but when rust crept around it on the firewall I found it. Also, I got an email one day from the guy who built it. He recognized the rockers he'd made from scratch for it. Anyway... I'll post pics here again when its back together.
