Ministry: Jesus Built My Hot Rod (full version)

Can't help but drive fast when listening to that song.

"Loud enough to knock you down."

The radio I have is a push button AM/FM with no speakers.

I listen to the roar of the 3.2 as I am chewing up VTECs

most of the time, i opt for the solid lifter and combustion by-product noise but if i feel the urge i go for the same tapes i listened to when it all started: dk, fugazi, minutemen, etc

When I'm not listening for odd sounds from the engine (still have a LOT of things to iron out), I have a great CD I compiled from a bunch of my other albums. My personal favorite driving song is 'I Can't Drive 55' by Sammy Hagar.

Porsche Crest

I can't hear anything except for my exhaust (including my own thinking). Won't be installing a radio in that one.

When you have to turn your sterio all the way up just to hear it, you know its time to turn it off.

Most beautiful music - a 62 356 B Super 90 with a custom exhaust. Sweet.

Hi All -
Been in lurk mode for a while (my car is actually running and I haven't known much about the other postings!) but saw this and had to reply - and I expect piles of "you dork" posts because of it...
The last year I have noticed that I actually hum along with the motor while I am driving - to the point that on a quick drive last month with my brother he asked me what the hell I was doing!
I think his exact words were "you're a freak show"

Happy Holidays from "the freak show"

Personally, I'm a Jazz Man myself; once I'm finally at speed, I can deal with (and make out) the calming nature of the music. The Monza exhaust and Webers lay off their song once "I" lay off the pedal.

But more often than not, once the car's warmed up and I've hushed myself to the subdivision's exit, it's hard not to pop in Steppenwolf's Magic Carpet Ride to start the drive! "Warp speed, Commander ..."

One of the greatest driving down the highway songs ever has to be "Radar Love" by Golden Earring, but in my car I can only hear the stereo when I'm going down the street. On the hihgway with the stereo cranked up full blast I still can only hear the engine.
