fuel system question
I have a 1973 914 1.7... the fuel pump is bad and the line are bad and i am replaceing all of that but i was wondering since my car is fuel injected would it be best to leave it the way it is or switch to carbs...

On a stock engine, factory will run better and be more drivable. If your engine is modified, Carbs may have better performance.
It is really a personal choice. If you want to go high tech, invest in a modern EFI system to replace the factory FI. EFI will run better than both and give better performance and economy.

x2 on personal choice. There is nothing wrong with the fuel injection system. It just requires that all the vacumn lines be checked as leaks will cause running problems. Swap out those fuel lines in the tunnel and in the engine compartment.. don't forget the injector elbow either.
