Electrical short for brake lights
i was wondering is there were any common problem spot in the wiring harness in relation to the brake lights other than in the trunk.
heres my problem. only when my headlights are on and my foot is on the brake, when i turn the key off the ignition power stays on(car stay running until i release the brake). If i stay on the brakes too long during this situation it will blow the brake light fuse. some where in the tail lights/brake light circuit, i'm assuming, i have a short to power on the ignition power circuit somewhere. has anyone seen this before? know of any common failure spots or do i just have a random short somewhere. i have already replaced all the wiring in the trunk for the tail lights. the wires were so brittle they broke like pretzels. Sounds like you either have the rear turn signal buckets mis-wired, or maybe you have swapped a dual-filament bulb into a socket for a single-filament one or vice-versa.
