Rebuilding rear brakes
How are the rear brake pistons supposed to come out of the caliper? Do they just come out with a lot of pressure, or are they suppposed to screw out?
Thanks, Paul |

I believe that the rear pistons are supposed to just pop out of the cylinder. If memory serves me correct (I don't have my tech info in front of me right now), there is a circlip or pin that holds them in there.
There was an article in European car a few years back about rebuilding rear calipers on the 914. There will be an article that will appear on the Pelican Site within the next few months, hopefully... -Wayne |

Use the adjuster screws. Hmm, come to think of it, I don't know if those will get the piston all the way out of the bore or not. But you at least use those as far as they'll go.
