CB refers to CB Performance (the CB stands for Claudes Buggies). They are primarily a VW parts / mods & Customs / Accessories outfit in CA (Farmersville I believe). They have some 914 hard parts including bearings, diff. CAM's, Fuel Inj. setups, etc. I have used them and hve had no problems.
I do not know about FATS but I am going to guess that they are the same kind of outfit.

"CB" is CB Performance. Used to be Claude's Buggies. They do TONS of Type I stuff, somewhat less Type IV (and 914) stuff. Lots of aircooled knowledge alltogether. Their URL is http://www.cbperformance.com .

"Fats" is most likely FAT Performance, down in Orange CA. They have been doing Type IVs since the Type IV was invented, so they have a pretty good idea how to get good performance out of them. I don't think they have a web site, but they do advertise in most of the typical Porsche magazines. (E.g., Panorama, Excellence, probably european car, etc.)
