Cylinders

Good morning, I am in the very near future, going to have a set of cylinder made for my type IV project. I am asking for some help in choosing a good Aluminums such as 3032-T6 or better, that will hold is shape and conduct heat well. I plan to have the cylinder Nikisil coated lastly. So if there is someone out there that can tell me of a very good material it would help. I have the pistons already made. Using Nikisils will allow a much closer tolerance that stock cylinders, O and using oil squirter's. So you help will be greatly appreciated.

There is already someone who is making Nikasil-coated aluminum cylinders for the Type IV engine, and working with JE Pistons to have pistons made specifically for them. LN Engineering Nickies The Original and Genuine CNC Billet Aluminum NSC-Plated Cylinders

I believe that AAA is making Nikasil cylinders as well. Not sure about their quality; the LN sets are top-shelf stuff and priced accordingly.

I don't know what alloy either one is using, but you might try asking them. Or you can avoif re-inventing the wheel by getting a set from one of them.

Ln

Well I have someone that can do the CNC, however they will not suggest a material.

LN does make good stuff, I just can't see paying about 2500 for four cylinders. I am aware pricing "whatever the market will bare", I can make my funds go farther than four cylinder for approx 2500.

Thanks anyway
