Hey! Nice Rack! "Celette"

Any have links to the air cooooled 8?
It would be interesting to see how much info is really available about the 194-8's.

There were some links on an old post that "gruntie" posted but I can't get to them anymore. They were pictures from the Porsche museum that he took...the curator let him take all sorts of pics. Did anyone save these pictures (I wish I would have...I saved the URL's, now I'm SOL).

The file-hosting thingy expired. Let's see if this works:
Got a load more. Do you want them? |

Way cool! I only got a few pictures of the silver one when I was in Stuttgart last May. Nothing as good as being able to open up the lids or interior photos!! Color me jealous...

Thanks gruntie, can you post the pics of the engine bay. Now those were some great photos. Might even help rich out w/ his 928 engine project

OK try this:
I also came across the silver car at the factory museum a year or so ago. It was a quiet day & there was a young guy there who was very helpful: when I explained my interest he went off and got the keys to the 914/8 & opened it all up for me to have a look. I took one shot & then had to put a new film in the camera, & then snapped away happily. Got home & found that the camera had lunched the film & all I had was one shot of a carburettor...... Interested to see that Ferry barely used it (I think 1500 km on the clock) - and the steel sliding sunroof opens all of 3 inches! |

Thanks for the pictures! I can never get enough of those shots! Talk about the ultimate expression of a 914.
