WTB; Air Filter Housing

...for a 1974 914 1.8 liter. I do not need the AFM or air nozzle (rubber), only the actual filter housing that the upper cover clips on to. If you have one in good condition, with clips, please pm me with your details. Thank you!

Somewhere between the Dealer and Independent shop, a heavy ham fisted mechanic lost one of the four spring clips that holds down the cover over one of the air filters.

The Dealer parts dept. says that the clip can't be bought separately. Only as part of the whole air box (the large lower portion).

Does anyone have a filter box that they would be willing to pop off a clip (carefully) and sell it to me for a reasonable price?

I have seen the clips on the nissan 200sx, my '85 had same thing, maybe auto salvage yard (pick n' pull) could get you one easy.

I will look at my car when I get home, but think the clips are the same they used on FI VW Superbeetles air cleaner, few more of them out there than 914's, lot of stuff off bugs fits them.
