Center Console

I just picked up a BEAUTIFUL center console from some crackhead out in BFE (Hesperia, CA) - I think he realized he committed it to me too cheap and was trying to screw me around, but I stayed with it and got it for $125 complete with gauges. It is in really fantastic condition. I'm stoked about it even though the guy was an absolute ass. Did I mention he was an a-hole crackhead out in Hesperia?

That said, I want to retrofit it into my 1972 1.7.

Now, the original location in my car for the stereo was replaced with an appearance package set of gauges...so I am thinking that the wiring for those gauges will transfer over for the console.

BUT - I want to put my newer stereo in that spot.

Anyone know how to do this? I have the dash piece, but could use some suggestions on how to support the weight.
