NEWBIE 914 FLEXBRADE ???Is it okay to use flexbrade , for brake line on a street car? Read that its dangerous and not to use yet I see kits for sale! Thanx Chuck |

reasons for everything
Stainless steel brake lines are great! BUT the average Joe should not use them as they are not as rugged as rubber ones. The reason they are recommended for race cars only is because racers look under their cars more frequently and inspect things like that. I have had them on my 928 for ten years and I am always inspecting things like that. DOT cert means that the part has the correct fittings and such vs. adaptor fittings.
So if you are the fix it and forget it . Don't look at it till it breaks kinda guy get a rubber set. |

Thanks for the info!!! I think, I will stick with OEM lines. Now AllI have to do is look for info on the brakes,bleeding& maybe geta new proportioning valve.
