Question help with elongated swingarm ear

The inner suspension pickup ear hole on my 1975 914 somehow is bigger than it
should be. It seems the nut was loose for sometime. What is the proper fixup?
are there threads on this subject on this site with pictures? I tried but found nothing on repair. your help is appreciated.

Thank you

There are threads at 914world.com

Restoration design has the parts required to repair. You will need to do some welding.

The proper fix is either to weld new material around the hole (some have used a washer for this) and ream to size, or to drill out the spot welds holding the ear on and welding a new ear on.
