Dang almost got it
Guess I should have paid attention better when my son pulled the engine out. Everything is back in cranked and fired! But altenator is not charging. I think I did not connect the leads to the starter correctly. Do both the black and red wires go to terminal 50? Right now I have them on separate terminals.
Second boy was that a wierd noise, one of the intake gaskets didn't seal right and got sucked/ ripped. You know how it sounds blowing through a blade of grass inbetween your fingers? Other than that I think it will hit the road this weekend. Ran for about 15 minutes 30 psi oil. 250 degrees cylinder head temp. ![]() |

Red and black wires (red from alternator, THICK black from battery) go on the same post. That's how power gets from the alternator to the battery.
If you hooked one up to another post, you have probably shorted one or the other to ground. Not good. Hopefully you didn't fry anything--check carefully to make sure... --DD
