911 to 914-6 engine oil cooler

Although when installing a six into a 914 I have always used a 914-6 engine oil cooler I assume that one could modify a 911 engine oil cooler when fitting a six into a 914 chassis. Does anyone have any experience with such an approach?

Yup, he does and he is. The general idea is to cut off the outlet (inlet?) that interferes with the suspension pickup point, and weld a 90-degree fitting on in its place. I don't think there is room to screw a 90-degree fitting directly to the existing straight-out one, so you pretty much have to cut and weld.

Rich converted mine for the 3.0 he did a great job. And he makes/sells other items for a /6 conversion like the throttle linkage, engine mount etc. and all are top quality and fairly priced. And he's a top notch guy to deal with.
