Anyone have a pic of this seal?

Take a look at this picture from the PP web site:

What does seal "R" look like? Here's the description:

Targa Top Front Seal
This seal attaches to the front of the targa top and helps it mate with the windshield to roof seal (S) located on the car.

I was chatting with Dave Darling, and both didn't know what this seal looked like or where it goes. It's not the big seal that goes along the windshield frame, it seems to be something that is on the targa roof itself. The only thing we could think of was that it might be the foam filled trim piece.

Anybody got a picture of this thing mounted on a roof? Anything that seals the roof up better sounds good to me.

Could it be the piece that resides along the bottom edge of the top windshield strut with a u-shaped cross-section? I always thought that piece was more for aesthetics then for sealing though.

Possibly, I know what you're talking about. But the description says that it attaches to the front of the targa roof. AFAIK, there's no rubber seal that's attached to the front of my targa roof at all, just the "tongue" that fits into the slot on the seal that's in the windshield frame.

That seal is called the "lower gasket" and fits on the forward, front edge, of the roof, P/N 914-563 319 10, all in accordance with my Porsche parts CD.

OK - so, do you have this seal on your roof? Is there a pic anywhere of what it looks like mounted on the roof?

Thanks!
