Will these fit??

Hello all, I have a question regarding these wheels in the included picture. The seller says they are 5.5Jx15. Will these fit an unmodified 1970 914-4? and could i mount a 205 series tire on them and have fender clearance? Any feedback is greatly apprieciated.

The rims should fit without a problem, but the 205's are questionable. There is a lot of variation on 914's, some people can only fit 205 when rolling the rear fenders, others can fit them on a stock car without any issues. I have (fuch five lug) 5.5Jx15's up front, and 6Jx15's on the rear. I am running 195's, and I have less than a 1/2 inch of clearance on the rear driver’s side fender (evidently this is the tightest fender for most 914 owners). I think if I was running 5.5Jx15's on the rear I could have fit the 205's.

Thumbs up They fit

They will fit a car had them at the road glue rally. I don't recall what size tires he had on them. If you don't want them let me know I might be interested.

That's Paul Weir's car. His wheels are ATI, I think. they are 5.5Jx15, I checked when I saw him at Laguna Seca a few weeks ago.

I would go with the 195's to be safe. The extra 10mm won't be that beneficial for a mostly street driven car, and why take the chance that you are going to be rubbing the fender.

ATS, actually. Check our wheel ID page. http://www.pelicanparts.com/techarticles/914_wheel_types/914_wheel_types.htm

These are 5.5J15, and will probably fit a 195-width tire under stock fenders. The only ones I've seen on a 914 so far have had the right kind of offset for that, though it is possible there are some Bug-offset ones that will only let you fit 165s on a 914.

205s are a maybe. Aftermarket wheels (like these) tend to offer a bit less tire room than the stockers, which will fit 205s on most but not all 914s.
