need a window fix!

today i installed the passenger side mirror on my 70 914/6. i decided to remove the window and track and drill from underneath. during the process of reinstalling the window and track. the window started coming out of the metal frame that is attached along the front of the glass itself.

anybody got a fix for this? what holds the frame to the window? it looks like it was or had been glued, either originaly or as as fix.

I fixed mine with some silicone I got from my neighbor that installs glass. maybe try some clear silicone????
