Speed Channel Offically Sucks!!
Do they think that everyone loves NASCAR. The only real racing they do is at Sears point and Watkins glenn. If you feel the same go to www.speedvision.com and leave feedback. Maybe they will change the programming instead of showing nastycar all the time.
Don't get me wrong I like nascar, but I don't want it shoved down my throat every night with a bunch of interviews with wantabe drivers and crew chiefs.

I agree, ever since they started to change to speedchannel they have gone downhill and now with the 24hrs of nascar PUKE.
Its sad that now there is no more decent racing channels Kelly |

I like NASCAR. But not 24/7.(I did watch the pre-races today)I was just thinking to myself last night, that I think this is the NASCAR Channel. I hope this is not a sign of things to come. BTW What happened to The "Lost Drive In"? I'm going to go to that Speed whatever thing channel.....web place...what ever...

Sorry to say this guys, but I used to work for some guys that ran the speed vision GT series, and they said that the new people who bought the network and turned it into SpeedChannel were planning on doing a nascar only channel...the only glitch was that they still had a contract with the speedvision GT series for another couple of years...but maybe they got out of it somehow.
Really blows... Tony |

I never disliked NASCAR until recently. It's just like pop music, they ram it down your throat enough even the fans will get sick of it...and I am starting to get sick of it. I'm glad they are at least planning to show the National Grand Prix here in DC on NBC and ABC for the ALMS and Trans-Am races, now that's racing!!!

They'll lose me as a viewer, for the most part, but who cares? They're going to pick up thousands and thousands of NASCAR viewers in my place. From their perspective, it looks pretty good. I like NASCAR, too, but not 24/7.
I can't wait until I can get (I'll pay for it) the direct feed of F1 from Europe instead of the filtered-down US version, anyway.

Ditto, ditto, ditto...
I also used to enjoy the rally cars and even the Australian V8 SuperCars turned both right and left. Didn't the promo for the SPEEDChannel change also say they were going to continue to cover 'the entire F1 season' and even the bikes?

Hey guys, remember when ESPN2 first came on the air and they swithched all the racing over to the duece. That was when Bob Varsha and John Bisignano went to Europe for F1 instesd of calling it from a booth stateside.
Bob Jenkins had Speed____? Can't remamber the name of it. Larry Nuber was with him in the beginning. Veiwership of certain forms of racing has declined (can you say CART?) and the adverisers are walking. Email ESPN @ http://forums.pelicanparts.com/espn.rpm.com and tell 'em you love 'em. They need to know that to attract adverisers in order to broadcast races. With support, they can negotiate contracts with the series owners. It's gonna be a long process, but with enough negative about SPEED(nascar)CHANNEL and support for a station that airs variety, it could happen |
