914/911 Repair Panels
Does anyone have experience with fitting 911 repair panels to a 914? (is it possible?). My pedal/master cylinder/ front suspension mount "arch" (half pipe sort of shape) is rusty, and has been badly repaired which has rusted out again.
I thought the 914 and 911 might be very similar in this area, given the common components, but I've been told the panels are completely different. One difference between the panels is that I can get a 911 panel for £80, or a 914 panel for £1200!! So, as this seems to be the place where people routinely perform tasks that are supposed to be impossible, can anyone give me advice? Thanks |

I don't know if the 911 parts will fit or not. I suspect that you'd have to do some re-shaping because of where the wheel wells are, but I don't know for certain.
We carry a reproduction of the part new-- 914 Floor Pan, Front Half B-501-939-90 $175.00 Since it is the whole front half of the pan, you will have to cut out the part you need, but it will fit correctly. Thanks for your help!
Dave, I've looked at the online catalogue - I don't think the front floor pan panel includes the bit I need. Comparing it to the 911 online catalogue, I need a 914 version of PEL-RDP218A, listed as "Front Floor Pedal Area Section". Please correct me if I've got this wrong! Steve, any chance of a picture of the panel? Thanks again, Tim Purcell |
