Right Door Mirror Install
I read the tech article but am still having trouble making punch locating marks from the inside of the door. As hard as I hit a nail, nothing shows on the top side. Is there a trick to this?

A nail will absorb to much of the hammer blow, so use a punch.

Get yourself a spring loaded center punch. This is a punch with a strong spring inside the punch. You place the tip in the center of the nut on the inside of the door. Then you push on the handle of the punch, once it moves about half it's travel the spring discharges and makes the punch mark. I bought a cheap one from Harbor Freight when I installed the mirror on mine. Worked perfect.
