Embarrassed to ask but...
I need to know and can't find answer in any of my books.
Where exactly are the oil pressure sending unit and the temp. sensor II ('75 1.8 L-jet)? My oil pressure light is not working (haven't checked the bulb yet) and I also want to check the temp. sensor. There is one sender next to the distributor, must be one of the two. Which is it? Where is the other one? |

Jim, do a search on sensors as this was discussed recently. Pressure on top, temp on bottom of engine under oil fill/breather tower. The temp sensor is behind the first blank plate. You need to drain the oil before removing the plate(s).

Guess I wasn't clear in my first post. It is the fuel injection head temp sensor I was trying to find. Paid a visit to JP Stein this am.
He solved my problem. Oil pressure by distributor, head temp. out of sight under #3 manifold runner, entering tin horizonatally. Thanks |
