injector seals raise idle?
I thought that I had this little problem fixed. I reconnected that cold start valve hose and it lowered the idle to normal. But after driving it for an hour yesterday it raised back up again. I checked everything and found that the injectors on the passenger side are real loose. When I wiggle them while the motor is running, the idle speeds up.A little input here guys?

Yes, having loose or worn out injectors seals causes the idle to go up in rpm. Of course this is the problem with ALL the seals that are related to engine vaccum. Chasing high idle is like chasing your tail. Change/or verifly that ALL the seals are connected correctly, sealing properly and or in good working order.
Check for smooth operation of the AAR valve. Check the mechanical end too, valves adj'ed,timing right on, etc. After you do ALL of this it's amazing with alittle adjustment these cars idle fine. BUT until you fix the little things they will drive you nuts! Most of these cars still have some of the OEM 30 year old parts on them, change out what you can so the FI works right. Geoff

Geoff is right on. Air is getting by the injector and speeding up the idle.
