FI injector connector bad
The connector for one of my 2.0L injectors broke away from the wires. How/where do I get a replacement? Can I splice a used connector in?
Anyone have on? Thanks ![]()

You can splice in a connector with "pigtails". You can probably replace the metal connectors (they slide out of the plastic plug if you find a way to press on the retaining barb inside the plug) if you are careful enough.
Jeff Bowlsby may be able to do something for you, as well. I think I have the plastic plugs and the metal contacts out back in the garage. If you're willing to try it yourself, I can send you some for a few bucks. (Mostly to remind me to get off my duff and get to the post office...) --DD

If you've got the time/money/energy to do it, I'd suggest sending your harness to Jeff Bowlsby for a complete going-over. He can replace those broken connectors without having to pigtail the harness, replace any bad/missing boots, and make sure it's in good working order. And besides that, he's a nice guy and you should give him your business.
Just don't be a smart guy like that Dave Darling dude and go tweeking the connectors with your needle-nose pliers ![]() Brad Anders |
