Roll Bar Mounting Points

I have been talking to a local shop about setting up a roll cage in my 914. He is pretty sharp so I think he is on the right track when he feels that there is an allowance in the SCCA rules to run the rear supports out the back window and tie to the rear suspension pickups. He thought this was allowed on Fieros and 914's. Anybody know if this is true and where it is hiding in the rule book?

Try the website at: http://www.best.com/~mouton/sccasolo/
If you want to stay stock/prepared/etc, it appears the roll bar/cage has to be inside the cockpit entirely and if you have it run to suspension points it puts you into the modified or full racing class.
