Distributor O-ring

the original seal will usually be dry and hard take a small pocket screwdriver and lever out old dry brittle o-ring it will break and lube with oil the new o-ring and gentley work it over the gear and shaft and install in the distributor shaft housing groove with the flat side of o-ring towards the housing groove and the round part of the o-ring towards the outside. lube housing and o-ring and install in engine. regards tom

A replaces B.
B is what happens to the seal after being in an engine for 30 odd years. You will need to cut B to get it off the distributor shaft. |
