Before I go through the hassle of designing and building something on my own, would you trust a fully assembled car up on those things? I'm so nervous using jack stands and would like to find a better option. I also am not planning on removing my engine any time soon, but may be rebuilding the front end this spring.

Whall, sure. My teener has spent months on those things....on more than one occasion. It starts out fully assembled and finishes (hopefully ) the same way. I've rolled around the shop by my self, but 2 guys are mo better (getting old, I guess). I have no urge to test it in an earthquake, tho......
