The site is up at Targa California and we have information about the event there scheduled for April 12-14, 2012

The main HQ hotel has sold out already ! Word of mouth traveled real fast this time. We have blocked a set of rooms at last year's place across the street. If you are going , make your reservations NOW by calling the Black Oak Inn at 805 238 4740 . << the second hotel is filling up fast !
Arrive April 12, depart April 14th

There will be updates continuously up to the event. registration is open NOW ! go to www.nasaproracing.com and scroll down the schedule till you see Targa California. Also, please help Cancer work with your generous donations to the two foundations. Links are both on the Targa / NASA information page and at www.targacalifornia.com

Hey Dave-

Looks like I will finally get to go on one of these! I am really looking forward to exercising my '75(ish) 911. I just need to register for the event (it's still not open) and get some tires with at least a little tread.

FYI - No problem getting a reservation at the Black Oaks today.

Registration will open this weekend (finally) and it looks like this event will be a sell out

We are also doing this to help raise money and awareness for breast cancer. One of our Porsche friends, Lisa "Spyder" on this board lost her fight in a way too short 5 weeks after being diagnosed.
So to honor her memory we have set up links to two cancer societies ; one in her home Australia and one in the Paso Robles area.

We hope Pelican members and friends will be generous in donating to these good causes, even if not participating on the Targa California

Hi Dave! The 914 total would have been at least 6 only if my GT was ready for prime-time, but it was not meant to be this time around.

Some of you would know she did vinyl cut lettering and signs.
Windscreen banners, were one thing she was not that fond of making, but this is the sort of thing she would have enjoyed doing.
I am looking forward to meeting all those attending, for those who don't know I will be with Chuck Miller.

It's hard to believe that it's been 35 years since Allen Surgi and I first did a road rally together. Once again Allen got us to the finish line without any major issues; everything was fine once we got the trout removed from my front oil cooler after a short dip in a optional waterhole on Saturdays morning leg! I think if we keep doing these types of long distance rallies, we may need to bring the "optional" seeing eye dog with us to find our way home! "The Targa" brings together some of my olders and dearest friends; I'm one very lucky guy!

It was good to meet you and so many others!
What a great event it was, I feel so lucky to have gone over to do it and meet so many people i have only emailed or messaged in the past. Everyone was so friendly it was such a pleasure to be there!
Dave and his team did a fantastic job.

Chuck was such a good host and a great chauffeur throughout my time there.

I am hoping to do this again!
