8.5" rear wheels
At last I have a good game of tires for my 8.5" rear wheels, (other than the goodrich !),
Bridgestone Potenza SER71 245/50/15 And the same model of tire in front but in 8" 225/50/15 ![]() ![]() Some of you told me that this tire size is very dificult to obtain if not imposible, yes, is true ! In my other car I will go to 16 and 8" overall Thanks and regards Last edited by Eduardo Castrejón Elbjorn; 05-05-2002 at 09:59 AM.. |

The rear is lowered by swapping in lowering springs. If you have Koni or Bilstien rear shocks, the lower spring perch should be adjustable. There should be a sleeve over the shock body with three or five grooves for a circlip. Move the circlip to another groove and you change the rear height of the car.
Another option for Koni or Bilstien (only, sadly!) is the "coilover" setup. The grooved sleeve is replaced by a longer sleeve that is threaded on the outside. A threaded collar is screwed onto this sleeve and serves as the lower spring perch. You raise or lower the car by turning the collar. Unfortunately they require springs with a different coil diameter than stock. ![]() Pelican does sell all of the above, though I don't think the coilovers are in the catalog. They got my setup for me a number of years back. Email tom@pelicanparts.com for pricing and availability. --DD
