Sun Visors
A post concerning sun visors was started on the ShopTalkForums and I thought I would repeat my question here since there is more 914 discussion. Any ideas would be appreciated!
My visors are in good shape appearance wise, but the foam padding inside has apparently disintegrated. The visor feels like its filled with light sand. The internal wire frame is easily felt. I would also like to know how to restore these. I had once read that you can carefully cut the vinyl along one edge, clean out the inside, re-pad the frame with foam sheet, slip the vinyl back on, and carefully glue the vinyl to form a seam. I've never seen it done so I am hesitant to try. Any suggestions? Thanks, Mike |
