Attaching engine cover?

Just got a '71. body parts left off after paint. Can't figure out how to attach the engine cover. Also, the underside of the roof panel is fuzzy brown insulation, don"t know what covers it. Thanks

There should be two L-shaped brackets on the firewall, with a weld-nut on the part that sticks out. There are corresponding holes in the arms that come off of the engine lid. The arms get bolted to the L brackets.

The underside of my roof panel has felt glued to it. I'm not sure if that's original or not. The roof panel changed somewhat between 71 and 74, so I'm not exactly sure what should be there on a 71.

My 71 has charcoal/black felt on the inside of the roof panel. I know for a fact it is original to the car. Good luck. Once you get the issues all sorted out you'll love it.
