brake pads and other ?
i know brakes have been beat to death here but here is a new one :
which brake pad do people like for the 320 i conversion, PP has metal master and pagid which gives better breaking ( for agressive street driving ) i hate break fade i am doing the conversion and not buying rebuilts so i need pads and has any body used any kind of paint to paint calibers and recommend one ( not including caliber paint ) while here what is a stiffer stock sway bar worth, meaning it fits stock sway bars but is larger ( not really stock ) and just the bar not the other parts also does anybody have a drivers door panel for sale, all i need is the card board in good shape dont care about vinyl condition unimportant

Porterfield R4S is an awesome compound for street and some autocross. Supposedly better than the Hawk's but I have no experience with Hawk.
They had them in stock and sent them out right away. Do a search on Porterfield.

Porterfields are quite amazing pads. They tend to eat rotors, and they squeal quite amazingly loudly. I forget if they're one of the pads that create mountains of dust or not.
Frankly, any half-decent modern pad will take all kinds of abuse before you get to pad fade. (That's where the pedal is high and hard but you just don't slow down.) And the pads have almost no impact on the pedal fade (where the pedal will sink to the floor)--it's the fluid that is important here. ATE Typ 200/Super Blue, Ford Heavy Duty, Motul, etc., are great fluids as long as you remember to change them every year. (Maybe two--maybe.) Castrol GT LMA is a good fluid--probably not as good as the others listed--which you can leave in for two years if you feel the need. --DD

I am using the Super Blue so that might be helping...but, I am not seeing a lot of brake dust. The Pagid's on my 944 create much more brake dust and go through rotors much quicker than these Porterfields. The R4S is a "softer" compound that is supposed to be more gentle on rotors. If the 944 was not a garage queen right now I would be changing from Pagid's to Porterfield. Not to disagree with DD but those are my $.02.
