Oops !
Well S***........
Someone (that would be me) didn't read quite closely enough and bought the wrong part. When I switched over to the MDS 6AL, I also got a Blaster 2 coil. While reading the instructions on the coil I see that it needs to be installed right side up.......OK, I can do that. Couple weeks later, I get a Magnecore plug wire set.....we're rollin' now, by God. Wait....what's this? This freaking coil wire is awfully short. Auggh.... Anyhew, the coil goes in upsideover. The answer to the question that nobody asked: An upside down oil filled coil lasts about 20 hours worth of run time. We have developed a high rpm miss. The "proper " unit here is the High Vibration MSD coil.......mountable in any position (I knew that ![]() 'Nuther 40 bucks down the tubes.

Sammy:
Since you split from the 914 Rennlist I've been left without the benefit of your wisdom......and thus subject to the slings and arrows of my own judgment. This stuff don't get easier as I git older, ya know...... ![]() My speeling is gettin' kinda shakey, too.

WHAT???
As in the 'real men don't need instructions' I installed that blaster coil upside down... Gotta go take a look at those instructions again... High vibration coil eh... Seems like MSD will be selling another one today... Waiting for those Magnecor wires to get here. Marc-Andre |
