mps (manifold pressure sendor) adjustment

got a question on adjustment on the MPS on a 2 liter car. Getting about 14-15 : 1 Air /fuel mixture at 4400 rpm in 3 rd gear pulling a moderate grade. At 3000 rpm in fourth, on the level the mixture is about 12-13 : 1. so the car is a little lean at high rpm, and a little richer at lower rpm.

what would be the correct adjustment of the mps to correct? We have tried different adjustments on both inner and out screws on the MPS. The outer plug screw has little if any effect (this is the stop screw) No matter what we tried, if we richened up the high rpm operation, we also made the lower operation richer, we would like to only be able to enrichen the high rpm condition without further enrichening of the low rpm mixture.

how can this be done?

any advice????

Perhaps bump up the fuel pressure to enrich the mixture across the board, then monkey with the adjustments to lean out the lower-load condition?

I take it you've been through Brad Anders' D-jet website?

thanks, that is a good thought, Yes I have read and copied the anders site, great info there.

i will look into the pressure increase, and see how that effects overall mixture across the rpm ranges.

Does any one have a source for Fuel Injector Data for the 914, looking for fuel flow rate vs. pressure?

thanks
