Steve,

I have 2 different people having 6 conversions done by our shop right now and both cars have 2.0's in them. Both are spotless engines that run very well (both have been well maintained)

Your going to pay more for one than the other, but both are good engines.

The high dollar engine was rebuilt less than 15k miles ago and will run you 2200$ This includes EVERYTHING from front tin to SSI's and muffler. Put your tranny on it and run. All new everything. Hoses/seals/pertronix/K+N..you name it.

The other engine will run you 1000$ and will probably need new fuel line/injector seals/air cleaner. The car belongs to the original owner who rarely drove the car..maybe has 70k miles on it.

Both engines come with brains/harness/ fuel pump blah blah..

Both car where maintained by top shops.

Oh.. depending on where you are in Wash. I wouldnt mind hand delivering a engine to you one weekend and installing it with you.

I'm in NorCal. 914 capitol of the world

Brad is a racedude and is well known on Rennlist.
Make the trip Brad as Orcas Island is beautiful in the summer and nowhere else like it in the US. Maybe Steve will take you out crabbling too!

Derek,

I'm partnered with HPH in Redwood city, and do fab/conversion/race work in a large building down the street from Stanford in Palo Alto.

I work in the PA shop Mon-Wed from 10am-1am. and weekends that we are not at the track.

Thurs. and Friday I spend answering the phones at SSI in Novato where I live.

Stop by or visit with me at the Roadglue breakfast this Sat. in San Jose.

Cory,

The sales numbers from Porsche show more cars delivered to NorCal than any other place in the world.

Its awesome to find 73 2.0's with 100k miles on them with perfect interiors.

Most LA cars I have seen (lots) have been beat to death or hacked to death with some god awful body kit.

lol
