Oil Breather tube connector

I have a connector (see below) on one side of the engine but the am missing it on the other side. I have a couple questions:
What is this actually called (a part # would even be better)?
How is it installed in the hole (just pressed in? some sort of sealer?)?

I don't know the official name. We usually call it the head vent tube. It is pressed in, not held by anything in particular.

If you only have the tube in one head, there's a good chance that one of them was replaced. Early 1.7 heads didn't have the vents, and the late 2.0 ones don't have it either. Your pic looks like a 2.0 head, with only one stud in between the intakes instead of two.

Dave,
Thanks. It is a stock 2L. There is a hole on the other side and a hose, but the connector is gone. Does Pelican have them?

It is part of the crankcase breathing system. This fitting vents the rocker area. you can replace the part by getting some soft copper tubing, the type that is used for flexible installation. any good plumbing supply hardware store should have some, I forget the diameter i used, but you can measure yours. I then epoxied it into place.

What you do is hook up hoses to each head and they join togehter on a little junction fitting that sits near the oil filler. on the junction another hose goes to the air cleaner.

this helps reduce crank case/rocker area pressure and thus helps prevent oil leakage.

well worth restoring this system, all it takes is about an inch of copper tube (not copper pipe) some epoxy and hose. if the junction fitting is missing, try the vendors or want ads.

PS the haynes manual has a vacuum hose diagram, it will show how the system is supposed to work.
