1970-1974 914 Fuel Pump For Sale
Friends:
Since there's been no reaction to my ad in 914 parts for sale, I'm posting here that I have a brand new, in-the-box Bosch fuel pump for 1970-1974 914 1.7, 1.8, or 2.0, for sale. List is an amazing $560; my price $250 plus shipping, Visa and MC accepted. Left over from my daze with a '74 2.0, never mounted, still has the caps on inlet/outlet lines. Mr Barrett,
keep in mind that 914 owners are cheap, flakey bastards. There are alternatives to this pump, the one for the '75-'76 are similar to the ones used in the late FI air cooled VW, which can be had for half what you are asking. Not trying to rain on your parade, I'm just sayin'

Ha! Now you have thrown down the gauntlet to 914 owners everywhere--to prove how magnanimous and discerning they really are! Perhaps there is still a 914 concours nut who really wants a perfect fuel pump so that he can beat the hordes of other 914 concours competitors. But then, I'm pretty cheap myself. After all, I still drive an ancient 912 with 180,000 miles behind it. Frank |
