I have recently gotten my 74 914 2.0 back in driving condition, thanks to all those who have offered advice through this forum, but I can't seem to get the idle speed down to the 800-900 RPM range. I have adjusted the valves, installed electronic ignition, new vacuum lines throughout engine, new gasket under throttle body, put new seals on the injectors, and reset the timing. I am suspicious of the hoses that connect the intake manifold tubes to the intake air distributor. Of course I have turned the idle speed adjustment screw all the way in. Can anyone think of anything I might have missed? Any 2 cents worth of info would be appriciated.
