They were an option...but they would be enclosed in the strut housing and the color would be concealed anyway...

Please find enclosed one (1) I don't care vote...

Denied.

The ones I have found have a green strut tube and say Bilstein on the strut tube. Just like the 911 Koni struts that are red (but geen ya know)

They dont mean much to me either, but I think some CW somewhere would like to have a set.

My ravenna car (73 2.0) had green bilsteins. My 911E had green bilsteins too. And the SC struts I have for the new car are green bilsteins. I like green bilsteins. Don't need any more though.

The set I found at a swapmeet years ago were a green one piece strut assembly, not an insert. The spindle and ball joint attatched directly to the strut tube not a seperate housing like the ones on my car. I was told they were for a 914 but since 911 struts also fit, with the right hubs of course, I am not sure if these were the infamous factory option.

funny, i once had a phone conversation with gsh the 3rd of aa fame. i asked him about his feelings with regards to his company being trashed on the internet. his reply was that they paid no attention to "ww's". WEB WEENIES, now that my friends is public relations. but if you can get 18.5 big ones for a 914 more power to you.

Had 'em as OE on a '74 2.0, and after I had Bilstein rebuld them for some ridiculously small amount of $, loved 'em.

Best handling 914 I ever had, and a good ride too.
