Got a question. I was told that if I put spacers in the original 914 calipers I can put 911 rotors in the back and still have an E brake. Has anyone done this? Does anyone know of someone making spacers for the 914 calipers??? If so, you can contact me here or email me at frankiec@outrageous.net Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your help. __________________ This post was auto-generated based upon a question asked on our tech article page here: |

Evidently this is quite possible. For instance, see the following thread:

Yes
yes - the factory did it for the 914-6 GT's - my car has them oem from Zuffenhausen
assuming you are using 914-6 calipers - you just have to get the spacer that was used on 911E's of the period if you are talking 4-cyl caliper you'll have to mfgr them, but can use the E part as an example Quote:

I have this setup on one my cars. Its nice to have the Fuchs but you lose 3cm of fender clearance per spacer thickness limiting you to 195 tires even with a bit of fender rolling.rather have 4 lug with 205s.kinda makes it a cosmetic thing and that **** ain't right(just kidding its your car and do what makes you happy)then again it's a moot point if you got gt flares.
