it's alive.. ALIVE!!!

Hi all,
this isn't a question, just a gesture of gratitude. Thanks to all of you who took time to help me in the past week with my numerous problems, especially Dave (if you're ever down in Pomona, give me a chance to take you to lunch or something.. )
the car is running, valve adjusted (i can now take off and put back the valve covers in about 5 minutes)transmission leak fixed, thermostat replaced, new alternator, new voltage regulator, and new pertronix.. i'm definitely happy..
FYI dave, it was a combination between the wire from the alternator and a bad VR that's been screwing me up..

once again,
thanks for all the help,

Jeff

Thank god, thought you were going to lose it there. Now that it is running, come racing. The Sherriff's EVOC center, Glen Helen Recreational Center where the 215 and 15 freeways meet. Saturday June 19th, be there by 7am for tech. Autocross starts at 9ish.

Bring a newer helmet, tie down the battery, have tight wheel bearing and $40....booom you are a race car driver.

Since it is a Zone event, you may have to join the the PCA but there are many benefits to membership. One is getting to meet me!!! ;>) The other is great club support, discounts on new parts, Panorama magazine, sanctioned races, rallies, concours events (yuck, no counting for taste) etc.

Glad to hear it's working! I suggest getting out to the autoX even on old skinny tires. OK, so the car won't be as fast as it might be otherwise--but chances are the driver will be the real limiting factor, especially at first.

Get new tires whenever you get around to it, but autocross whenever you can find one!
