Clutch Cable Mount
Does anyone have any pics of their clutch cable mounting bracket. I thought I did everything right when I put the terry cable on there but today at the track, the cable sheath popped out of the mounting bracket and will not stay in when I put it back. Please help with pics!!!

At the transmission adapter end I have to use a couple of small pieces of lock wire to insure it does not come out. I removed the pivot wheel and bracket and then marked a couple of very small holes while holding the end of the outer cable in place. The holes were just larger than the lock wire and haven't weakened the bracket. Good luck.

Thanks for the info but I do not understand how that can be your first line of defense. Surely you have the original locking feature in there and only use the lock wire as a backup right??? I am looking to understand how to make the original locking feature work. When I took out that washer with a pointer on it I was not paying attention so now I have no idea of how to put it back in so it will stay.

There should be a hole near the front of the guard for the clutch cable pulley. The tab on the washer goes through that, then gets bent around the edge of the guard. That helps to hold the cable in place.
Does the above description make sense? --DD
