I just purchased a "new" rear trunk lid to replace my original cancerous one...and recently learned that the factory injected some sort of foam into the leading edge. Apparently that foam retains water and is the main reason the rear edge of so many trunklids are rusty. Is there any way to get rid of the foam short of cutting a hole and picking it all out? What about some sort of chemical/solvent to dissolve it? Has anyone dealt with this problem? My "new" lid has a bit of cancer, but is recoverable as long as the rust doesn't spread. Any help appreciated
