new brake lines????????
Where can I get new steel brake lines for my factory 914-6.Or can anyone tell me how long they are so I can try the auto parts store?????

Here's one suggestion. www.*************/catologs Great catolog because being they are a Porsche dealer, it uses actual Porsche part numbers and descriptions. Not so great because they don't list prices and because they are a Porsche dealer, they are probably more expensive than making your own. They do have the complete brake system in the catolog. They also have an 800 number you can call to get pricing.

I bent my own with off-the-shelf lines from my FLAPS. Where the correct size was not available I just went to the next longer stock size and made up the difference with wider bends. It worked out fine. For piece of mind you may just want to measure for yourself.
When I checked the available Porsche lines were very $$$.

You can also, I think, get them from Pelican Parts. I know, I know--it ain't in the catalog. But that doesn't mean we can't get it/don't carry it.
Just call the Sales guys at 888/280-7799 and see what the price/availability is. Or build your own. --DD
