turn signal wire gets broke and it is not fused and it can cause all sorts of problems in the steering column.

Had a similar situation with an early 944. One headlight popped up, the other didn't. Cabin started filling with smoke. Melted the wiring harness all the way from the cabin fuse panel to the headlight motor. I couldn't believe there wasn't a fuse in there somewhere.
Wiring harness was one solid 2" diameter lump where it went through the firewall. I had more time than money in those days (actually, that's still true), so I did eventually get that car running again with a salvage yard wiring harness, though I'm not sure everything worked the way it did originally. Found a number of differences between my original wiring harness and the salvage one, even though they were both from 1983's. Good times... Gary |
